The name sake and foundation of what Coaltown do at the roastery. This was the coffee that kick started everything. The idea was a coffee that is easily approachable and great crowd pleaser. They serve Black Gold daily at their cafes alongside other sensational seasonal coffee offerings. It's part of people's habits and daily rituals and we couldn't be more proud of it.
Black Gold No3 espresso is our first blend and has won Two Gold Stars in the UK Great Taste Awards in 2014.
This blend is hand roasted to just beyond first crack to give it a rich espresso zing whilst still retaining the natural flavours that are manifested at origin. Its rich chocolate and biscuit base makes it very drinkable.
